Abstract

The field notes document Horton Hobbs' work on crayfish during 1941, beginning in July. Contains data and narrative entries. Notes indicate that it contains color notes on crayfish at Watanga Springs. This entry is followed by a list of location/station descriptions. These contain location identifier (7-3041-1 to 7-3141-13), sometimes a date, locality, description of water, presence of fauna, and additional location information (e.g. landmarks). Of note, the entry identified as 7-3141-10 includes a detailed drawing of a crayfish with notations, stated as a new species. Locations are in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
