Abstract

The notes document the field work on crayfish by Horton H. Hobbs in Nueva Leon [Nuevo León], Mexico, during December 1940. Information varies. Hobbs lists details about travel and routes including time of day and mileage. There are also dated and narrative style entries that describe daily activities, campsites, personal experiences, observations of flora and fauna, and collecting information. Collecting information includes station number (e.g. 12-1640-1), location, description of environment, specimens, and method of collection. There are drawings of terrain and crayfish.
