Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1470 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from Point Sal to Point Arguello in California, July 13 to December 16, 1880. Lieut. E. H. C. Luetze, U.S.N., was commanding the party. The table of data includes date, locality, fathoms, and appearance. A note at the bottom states that some specimens were sent to the American Museum of Natural History, as to see data on hydrographic sheet nos. 1460 and 1461.
