Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1435 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from Union River Bay in Maine, August 4 to 26, 1879. Lieut. Com'd'r C. M. Chester, U.S.N., was commanding the party. The table of data includes date, locality, including latitude and longitude with minutes and seconds, fathoms, and appearance. There is a note at the bottom that states see also Hydrographic sheets nos. 1401, 1433, 1434, 1452, and 1453.
