Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1306 and 1243 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens in Massachusetts. It covers Nantucket Sound to Handkerchief Shoal, August 28 - 30, 1875; Monomoy to Bishop's and Clark's Light in Nantucket Sound, July 25 - August 29, 1874. Lieut. R. D. Hitchcock, U.S.N. was commanding the party. The table of data includes date, section number, locality (including latitude and longitude with minutes and seconds), fathoms, and appearance.
