Abstract

The drawings of Muraenoids were created by Joseph Drayton or John Richard from fish observed or collected during the United States Exploring Expedition, 1838-1842. Some drawings are black-and-white, others colored, and some have only detailed portions. Details listed include scientific name, notes, sometimes creator, and location. Two oversized drawings are located to Box 7.
