Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1053 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from of off shore from Killdevil Hill to Loggerhead Inlet in North Carolina, 1870. Notes were recorded by Robert Platt, U.S.N. The table of data includes section number, locality (includes latitude and longitude with minutes and seconds), fathoms, and appearance. Includes a note that states, "see hydrographic sheets nos. 965, 1056 and 1079."
