Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 965 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from Virginia and North Carolina: offshore from Sheephouse Hill to Killdevil Hill, during August 3 to September 2, 1868. Notes were recorded by Robert Platt, U.S.N. The table of data includes dates, station number, locality (e.g. longitude and latitude with minutes and seconds), fathoms, and appearance. Contains a note stating, "see also hydrographic sheets nos. 1053, 1056, and 1079."
