Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 542 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from Cortez Bank in California, August 1 - August 16, 1856. Notes were recorded by Cmdr. J. Alden, U.S.N. Table of data, section number, locality (sometimes including latitude and longitude with minutes and seconds), fathoms, and notes.
