Abstract

The field book covers the work of Donald F. MacDonald in Gatun and Trinidad River, February 15, August 25 - September 29, 1913. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. They discuss the sample results for the purposes of mining. They contain descriptions of routes, geological characteristics observed, sampling of river floor completed, and remarks on sample contents. Some location descriptions are numbered.
