Abstract

The field book covers the work of Donald F. MacDonald in Chiriquí and Veraguas provinces in Panama, March 11 - April 20, 1913. Includes a tentative section of geology across the Isthmus. There is a detailed daily list of expenses, followed by dated entries. These describe daily work, observations of terrain, geological characteristics, vegetation, specimen collecting, notes on mineral samples, spec. and fossil lot numbers with descriptions, drawings of inscriptions/carvings in stone, geological sections, and routes traveled.
