Abstract

The field book covers the work of Donald F. MacDonald at the Abangarez mines, Costa Rica, June 19 - August 29, 1912. The volume begins with a note in German that may have been composed by another individual. Includes a list of expenses per location and date. Entries contain location information and descriptions of elevation, climate, transportation, mining companies, geology of the mine, Abangarez gold fields, and statistics from a 1911 report on the gold production. Includes descriptions of other veins and mines in Costa Rica.
