Abstract

The field book covers the work of Donald F. MacDonald in Costa Rica for the Costa Rica - Panama boundary survey, April 3 - May 39, 1912. Entries are dated and contain travel details, daily work, descriptions of geological characteristics of strata, spec. #s. Many entries are organized by location, often numbered, sometimes in the vicinity of numbered telephone poles. Also contains numbered fossil lot lists with descriptions.
