Abstract

The field book covers the work of Donald F. MacDonald in the Canal Zone during January 16 - 31, 1911. Inside the front cover is a table of contents listing page number, location, spec. or fossil lot. Entries are usually dated, and contain descriptions of fossils and geological specimens collected. They list location information, characteristics/composition, notes about how specimen relates to the location's geology, and remarks discussing causes and remedies. Sometimes descriptions include station number. Also contains geological sections.
