Abstract

The field book documents the work of Chester A. Reeds in the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma, June 15 - July 31, 1908. He was employed by E. O. Ulrich to collect for the U.S. Geological Survey from best localities in Simpson and Arbuckle formations. The volume begins with a list of section locations and page numbers. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. They contain travel details, nature of work completed, daily activities, observations of terrain, collecting completed, fossils present, and geological sections. Sections begin from the back of the volume.
