Abstract

This volume documents field work of Rector D. Mesler in Virginia, July 3 - 24, 1918. It is the second of two volumes. Entries are dated and headed with location. Entries describe travel details, location information, observations of terrain, geological characteristics, fossils collected, geological sections, descriptions of wells and water levels, water samples taken, details from conversations with local inhabitants relating to water use, and individuals with whom worked. At the end of the volume are instructions for taking water samples for the Water Resources lab.
