Abstract

This volume documents field work of Rector D. Mesler in Akransas, Virginia and Tennessee, June 25 - July 24, October, 1913; June 11 - 1914; July, August, 1935; 1937. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. June 1913 trip took place to collect Cambrian fossils for Secretary Walcott. Entries include travel details, purpose of field work, daily activities, individuals with whom worked, descriptions of fossil collecting, geological sections, and drawings of terrain. There is one entry from April 9, 1937 listing localities to visit. There are references to field work completed by E. O. Ulrich. Includes numerous loose inserts.
