Abstract

This volume documents field work of Jean Milton Berdan while working for the U.S. Geological Survey in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, 1965-1967, 1969-1975, 1977, 1987. The notebook begins with a photographed map of Maine. Entries vary and include notes on collecting in Maine and plant pest control. Most entries are dated and are lists of collecting locations. These contain identifier, location information, description of terrain, and description of specimen. There appear to be notations that were added later, some include specimen numbers. Descriptions are detailed and sometimes lengthy. Also contains colored photographs in the field and loose inserts.
