Abstract

The volume documents field work of E. O. Ulrich in the Southern Appalachian Valley, Tennessee, June 20 - July 29, 1901. The notebook begins with a typed index listing location and page number. Entries are dated, headed with location. Some are narrative in structure, describing work completed and travel details. Other entries contain specimen number, location, geological characteristics. Also includes geological sections and elevations with extensive notes. Includes multiple pasted inserts.
