Abstract

This folder of 10 photographs may have been removed from a photograph album containing black-and-white photographs of Bering Island (Ostrov Beringa), Copper Island (Ostrov Mednyy), and other locations near the North Pacific and Bering Sea region taken by Colonel Voloshinov. Photos lack credit information and captions. Photos depict the local men and women of these areas, fur seals, hauling grounds, geographic features, rookeries, and fur seal slaughtering. Some or all of these photographs may be published.
