Abstract

The item consists of specimen 2 lists which include no. 7002-7095 and 8004-8312. The former is entitled, "Board of Economic Warfare, Plants collected in Colombia by W. C. Steere, Reported by U.S. National Museum, Feb. 1943". The first draft of this list is dated December 4, 1942. The second list is entitled, "Cinchonaea collected in Ecuador by William C. Steere". Specimens included in this list were collected in Ecuador by Steere between July 20, 1943 and May 13, 1944. Documents associated with the item are contained in the same folder including correspondence from Steere to Ellsworth P. Killip, curator of at Smithsonian Institution United States National Museum Division of Plants, and from Killip to Alfred B. Carr.
