Abstract

The loose pages document the zoological field work of Robert Grant in Wisconsin. Entries are dated (Thursday, October 2 to October 16) and is organized by station number. Entries include description of terrain, characteristics of ground cover, lists of trees and vegetation present (common names), wildlife present (e.g. insects present under rocks). Descriptions per station location are followed with "conclusions" drawn from his observations. On the last pages, are lists of measurements for numbered locations, including: pH, time, depth and bottom. Locations include St. Croix Falls (Wisconsin side), Moore Lake, Cedar Creek Bog.
