Abstract

The volume documents the work of Richard E. Grant in Minnesota, 1950 - 1951. Include photographs and negatives of terrain and a candid image of a person. Entries include location information (landmarks, distance from, sometimes latitude and longitude), descriptions of geological characteristics (color, composition, measurements) of strata, travel details, presence and type of fossils (e.g. trilobites), and sketches. Entries begin from the front and the back of the volume. Locations include but not limited to St. Louis River, Riley's Coulee, and Cannon Falls.
