Abstract

The field book documents the work of Robert Neuman, March 12 - October 7, 1955, and March 5, 1959. Entries are dated. Several sheets are loose and dates are out of order. Entries list weather, location information (landmarks, distance from), geological characteristics (color, composition, measurements) of strata, specimens collected, photographs taken, and individuals with whom worked. Also includes notes on travel details. Locations are across Tennessee and Virginia.
