Abstract

The field book documents the work of Robert Neuman in Great Smoky Mountains, April 19 to October 9 [undated]. Includes notes taken with G. A. Cooper on April 1951. Entries vary in content and structure. Some are dated and location identifier followed with lists of fossils present, while others include more extensive notes relating to weather, geological characteristics (elevation, color, composition, measurements), colored drawings and geological sections with notes, and location information (distance from, landmarks). Entries are tabbed. Locations include Tuckaleechee Cove, Cades Cove, and Calderwood.
