Abstract

The black-and-white photographs were taken as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1963-1968. The photographs depict Great frigatebirds displaying, fanning, and roosting. They also depict nestlings and young. Brief captions are included on the reverse of the photographs. Photographs were taken by A. B. Amerson, R. Chandler, R. B. Clapp, V. Kleen, and P. C. Shelton. Photographs were taken on French Frigate Shoals, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Layson Island, Lisianski Island, McKean Island, Pearl and Hermes Reef, and Taongi Atoll.
