Abstract

The notebook documents the work of Druid Wilson relating to specimens from North Carolina, 1930-1959. Volume covers begins with an index that lists year and a range of identifiers. It appears that these include notes from Wilson's "preliminary field book" notes that may have been discarded once content was copied. Entries are numbered and include a varying range of detail such as: descriptions of specimens, date, location where collected, sometimes identification and notes on species abundance, hand drawn maps, USGS specimen number, collector name, and remarks. Includes inserts. There is a faunal index at the back of the volume.
