Abstract

The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in Eniwetok [Marshall Islands], May 12 - June 1, 1952. Inside the front cover, is a list of pages relating to notes on cuttings and cores. Entries are dated, headed with location, and narrative in structure. Entries describe field work including drilling plans and progress, samples collected, individuals with whom worked, and time of day. Sample descriptions list depth followed by description of color, composition, and measurements of samples.
