Abstract

The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in southern Marianas Islands, June 8 - July 27, 1946. The volume begins with a terrain profiles with location, date, and notes. Other entries are dated, headed with island, and narrative in structure. They include travel details, routes traveled, and geological characteristics of terrain. Other entries include notes on specimen collections, listing number (S-11 to S-37), type of rock, location collected, photograph number, and latitude and longitude. Locations are across Rota and Saipan.
