Abstract

The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in Virginia, October 30, 1940, and April 1 - May 22, 1941. The volume begins with an index that lists page number and location. Entries are dated, headed with location, and narrative in structure. They describe daily work, study of terrain and exploration, including looking Manganese oxide (?)., and lists of geographical data. Locations include but are not limited to Buckhorn Mountain, Sweet Springs area, Hicksville, and Suiter mines.
