Abstract

The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in Virginia, October 22 - December 14, 1940. The volume begins with an index listing page number and location. Entries are dated and contain numbered descriptions of terrain's geological characteristics (including elevation) and specimen collecting. Also includes notes about individuals visited and a hand drawn map. Locations include but not limited to Hansonville, Markham, Paint Bank, and Dismal Basin., Virginia.
