Abstract

The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in the Lau islands of Fiji, March 22 - April 30, 1934. Contains a table of contents listing page number of island name. Entries vary in content and structure. Some entries include a table of data for trip: sta., pace, elev., dir. ahrad., and remarks. Other entries are narrative in structure and are listed by identifier. Narrative contains location information (landmarks, distance from), geological characteristics of terrain (color, composition, measurements), and sketches with notes. Islands include Ongea, Nuku songea, Teteika, Namuka, Kambara, Komo, Lakemba, and Thikombia-i-lau.
