Abstract

The notebook documents Harry S. Ladd's field work relating to geology, entomology, and ornithology, June 6 - July 21, 1921. The volume begins with an index and lists page number and subjects. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. they describe routes traveled, characteristics of terrain (color and composition), include geological sections with notes, specimens collected. Entries include lengthy descriptions about where specimens are collected and list location identifier (col. pt. #). Also lists photographs taken and checklists. descriptions of birds are listed by type. Locations include, but are not limited to, Missouri and Kansas.
