PrintThe black-and-white and color photographs were taken as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey in 1963, 1966-1967. The photographs depict Black-footed albatross standing, nesting, sitting on eggs, and being banded and held by researchers. Some photographs have brief captions on the reverse. Photographs were taken by A. B. Amerson, R. L. Delong, P.J. Gould, P. C. Shelton, and US Naval Air Station, Midway. Photographs were taken on Eastern Island, French Frigate Shoals, Laysan Island, and Lisianski Island.
