Abstract

The notebook documents the work Gordon Lill in Funafuti [Tuvalu] and Bikini Atoll [Marshall Islands], undated. The volume contains detailed descriptions of core samples, including bore location, depth, description of characteristics (color and composition), possible minerals present, and specimens present. Entries are organized by slide number and core number. Some entries include sketches. Also includes notes and tables of data taken from publications, a checklist for Bikini and Funafuti, and a list of core selected for chemical analysis and photographing.
