Abstract

The volume documents the field work of Ray Bassler in Tennessee, 1899. Includes loose inserts. Entries are usually headed with location, followed by descriptions of geological characteristics (e.g. color, composition), presence of fossils, detailed lists of photographs taken, geological sections, specimens found and their abundance, and sketches. Also includes some narratives, e.g. notes on Station Camp region. Locations include but are not limited to Edgefield, Hartsville, Carthage, Liberty, Leiper's Creek, Tennessee.
