Abstract

This item is comprised of 2 field books created by Henry S. Kernan during his work on the Cinchona Project. The item consists of a dated list of specimens collected or observed beginning on November 30, 1943 at a locality described as, "Hacienda 'Los Andes', Rionegro, Santander and ending on August 19, 1944 at "Cerro Castillo, S. of Pueblo Bello. Rio, Argentina, Surra Nevado de Santa Marta". Kernan identifies specimens by scientific names, usually at the genus and species level. He also describes height of specimen in feet, exposure, D.B.H., and crown class. He notes altitude and nearby place name to indicate locality.
