Abstract

The notebook documents the geological and paleontological work of William J. Sando in western United States and Canada, July 27 - September 24, 1986. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. They are short but provide concise details about travel (transportation, accommodations, times, expenses, mileage), to-do lists, personal observations, pictures taken, weather, work completed, daily activities, names of colleagues with whom worked, and field trip sites. Locations include but are not limited to Bell Canyon, McKenzie-Bell Divide, and Kelmbeck Canyon, Montana, in United States; and locations in Alberta, Canada, like Peyto Lake. Includes notes about difference with Canadian sequences.
