Abstract

The diary documents the work of William J. Sando in England, August 31 - September 30, 1967. The volume documents travel to England to attend meetings and field excursions of 6th International Congress of Carboniferous stratigraphy and geology. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. They describe travel (transportation, accommodations, times, expenses, mileage), personal observations, travel with his family, weather, names and observations of colleagues, as well as meetings and events attended. Descriptions of field trips are short but mention physical descriptions as well as presence and quantity of coral specimens found at locations. Localities include but are not limited to Durham.
