Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of William A. Oliver in Alabama, April 4 - 8, 1990, and New York, July 23 - 27, 1990. A note on the first page states "Tuscaloos - SE GSA...incl. 1 day in field." Entries are dated and include travel details (accommodations, transportation, contact information, time of day), interactions with colleagues, daily activities, expenses. Notes relating to field work describe location information, weather, geological characteristics observed (color, composition, measurements, presence of fossils), and specimens collected (11480-SD to 11488-SD). Notes relating to trip in 1990 to New York indicate field work was completed in Oriskany on July 24th and Hamilton on July 25 - 26th.
