Abstract

The notebook documents the paleontological field work of William A. Oliver in New York, March 29 - April 10, 1977. According to notes, Oliver attended meeting, and then conducted field work in vicinity of Albany and Ithaca. First page includes a short itinerary. Dated entries contain to-do lists, travel details, notes indicating days of lab work. Notes from the field are headed "field" and include time of day, numbered locations, location information (quadrangle, landmarks, roads and towns in the vicinity), geological characteristics observed, and specimens collected.
