Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of William A. Oliver for the U.S. Geological Survey in New York, July 11 - 15, 1961. Covers loc numbers 574 to 577. Entries are dated and include loc number, location information such as landmarks, towns in vicinity, and roads; description of terrain including color and composition; specimen numbers (5886 to 5899) and characteristics. Locations include but are not limited to Onesquethaw Creek at Clarksville, vicinity of Callahan Corner, Thatcher State Park, vicinity of Gallupville. Includes a loose two-page insert, a typed page description of Highland Mills section.
