Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of William A. Oliver for the U.S. Geological Survey in New York and Ontario, Canada, July 9 - August 25, 1960. Numbers assigned cover 5692 to 5917. Entries are dated and include either geological sections, or "loc" number, followed by location information such as town in vicinity, quadrangle, and landmarks; description of terrain; and specimens collected (with 4-digit number in the left-hand margin). Specimens collected often include biostromes.
