Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of William A. Oliver in New York, June 21 - 28, 1960. Entries are dated and include either geological sections, or "loc" number (nonsequential), followed by location information such as town in vicinity, quadrangle, and landmarks; description of terrain; and specimens collected (with 4-digit number in the left-hand margin). Specimens collected often include biostromes. Locations include the vicinity of Jordanville, Otsego Lake, Stockbridge Falls, and Chittenango Falls.
