Abstract

In the letter from F. H. King to Robert Ridgway, dated April 13, 1885, sent from Rivers Falls, Wisconsin, King compares three fresh specimens (two males and one female) of Nyctale, collected in the winter, to a previous synopsis written by Ridgway. King provides details of the shape and opening of nostrils and color of bills of the specimens when fresh and after drying. Details include conditions of drying and measurements of specimens.
