Abstract

The folder contains 2 color illustrations of Fratercula corniculata. One color illustration was created by H. W. Elliott in July 1842 or 1872, the inscription is not clear. It documents an adult male specimen, drawn as life size, from St. Paul's Island in the Bering Sea. On the reverse side, Elliott provides an additional color illustration of possibly a different adult specimen from St. Paul's Island, indicating it was drawn from life. One color illustration was created by E. W. Nelson on August 12, 1877, in St. Michael's, Alaska.
