Abstract

The folder contains 2 color illustrations of Creagrus furcatus. The color illustration by Charles H. Townsend was drawn from a fresh specimen on Malpelo Island, on March 5, 1891. On the reverse side, a painting of the bird's foot indicates the fresh color. The color illustration by S. A. Gray on June 7, 1869, includes a black-and-white sketch of the head, bill, and foot for inclusion with publication. The illustration includes notes about coloration, number of toes, and specimen number.
