Abstract

The folder contains 2 color illustrations of Larus delawarensis. The color illustration created by Robert Ridgway documents a female specimen in winter plumage. The sketch was made from the fresh specimen, killed at Pyramid Lake, Nevada, and shows exact colors of life. Illustration includes specimen number. The color illustration dated October 1884 by unknown author (C.C.N.) documents a juvenile female specimen from Florida. The illustration indicates it is drawn to natural size.
