This item is comprised of field notes from Bailey's 1906 trip to Wyoming and New Mexico to study wolf extermination. The notebook primarily contains specimen lists of plants and animals, listed by their scientific names. Place of collection or observation of specimens is indicated by nearby place names beginning near Rock Springs, Wyoming and ending near Silver City, New Mexico. The notebook also includes a brief narrative account of wolf extermination practices and behavior of wolf cubs near Jackson Hole. This field book is a companion item to a journal kept by Bailey during this trip which can be found in Box 2 Folder 4 of the same collection.
