Abstract

In the letter to Robert Ridgway from Julius Hunter, dated April 12, 1881, sent from St. Louis, Hunter provides details of a male Ibis specimen collected on February 27, 1880, on Cantine Lake in Madison County, Illinois. Details include measurements, color of eyes, bill, legs and skin, stomach contents, and other birds seen with specimen at time of collection.
